Description: Full marathon “row for respect.” Nicola walked away from an abusive relationship which lasted 7 months ending in June this year. She has been receiving government-funded counselling as a result of what her ex-partner did to her, this has included EMDR therapy which has been very effective and is something she is incredibly grateful for. To give back she wants to raise awareness of respect: respect for partners, family members, work colleagues, teachers, students, teammates, self respect and the environment. By raising awareness of respect she hopes she can prevent this from happening to others and/or help those who might find themselves in the position she was in.

Description: Half marathon “row for respect.” Nicola walked away from an abusive relationship which lasted 7 months ending in June this year. She has been receiving government-funded counselling as a result of what her ex-partner did to her, this has included EMDR therapy which has been very effective and is something she is incredibly grateful for. To give back she wants to raise awareness of respect: respect for partners, family members, work colleagues, teachers, students, teammates, self respect and the environment. By raising awareness of respect she hopes she can prevent this from happening to others and/or help those who might find themselves in the position she was in.

Then on the Sunday 17 November we have a special service with a speaker from Shakti at 9:30 am and then a morning tea 10:45am on our front lawn when we plant our white ribbons.
