She has been receiving government-funded counselling as a result of what her ex-partner did to her, this has included EMDR therapy which has been very effective and is something she is incredibly grateful for. To give back she wants to raise awareness of respect: respect for partners, family members, work colleagues, teachers, students, teammates, self respect and the environment. By raising awareness of respect she hopes she can prevent this from happening to others and/or help those who might find themselves in the position she was in.
