Michael Kaufman Workshops

Michael Kaufman, Ph.D. is an educator and writer focused on engaging men and boys to promote gender equality and end violence against women. He has worked in forty-five countries, including extensively with the United Nations, as well as numerous governments and NGOs. As the co-founder of the White Ribbon Campaign – the largest effort in the world of men working to end violence towards women – we are delighted that Michael will be hosting two workshops (02 December in Wellington and 03 December in Auckland).

The workshops will look at the nature and causes of men’s violence and men’s silence. They will examine how we can use this knowledge to develop successful strategies to engage men and boys to end violence, rethink destructive ideas of manhood, and promote equality.  Exploring success stories from around the world and using local knowledge, the workshop will help develop concrete action plans for both individuals and organisations.

Wellington Workshop Thursday 02 December 9am to 4pm

Auckland Workshop Friday 03 December 9am to 4pm
